SPRING

CITY EASTER EGG HUNT
Around Easter. Held in the Frank Anthony Park, this event hosted by Springhill Main Street features a visit by the Easter Bunny who is available to take pictures with the children who attend. Prize eggs are also awarded. For more information, contact 318-539-5681.

SPRINGHILL-NORTH WEBSTER CHAMBER AWARDS BANQUET
April. This annual event is held at the Springhill Civic Center.  Local businesses are recognized and awards are presented in several categories.


SUMMER

SAREPTA FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVAL & FIREWORKS
Fourth of July. This event features live music, waterslides and playground for the kids, great food, and a grand fireworks display at dark. The event is hosted by the Sarepta Festival Commitee.

PIGGLY WIGGLY STEAK COOK-OFF
July. This fundraiser features some of the best cooks in the area showing off their steak cooking skills. Prize money is awarded to the top three. Featuring activities for kids, crafts, and music, this event supports St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. Located in Piggly Wiggly parking lot.

RIDE FOR LIFE
July. Thousands of people attend Ride for Life to “drag main” and relive old times with family and friends. This fundraiser gives back to the local community in the form of donations to support their many beneficial programs. Located in Piggly Wiggly parking lot.

The W.H.O. MATTERS EVENT
August. Women Helping Others of North Webster host their annual W.H.O. Matters fundraiser event to help an individual in need or a charity close to their hearts.  This spectacular event, which has a different theme each year, is a Ladies Only event and includes a silent auction, raffles, bingo, door prizes, catered dinner, entertainment, and a host of vendors with fabulous merchandise.  For the event 400 women from near and far come out in grand fashion to eat, dance, and shop the night away – all for a good cause!


FALL

PRCA RODEO
September. The event hosts cowboys and cowgirls from across the nation who come to compete at the Springhill Rodeo Arena. Activities include entertainment for the kids, lots of great food and a variety of events.  Parade is held on Saturday during the rodeo weekend.

SHONGALOON FIVE MILE RUMMAGE SALE
This yearly event starts at the Arkansas State Line and features 5 miles of rummage sales. Residents and visitors look forward to the sale every third Saturday in September.

LUMBERJACK FESTIVAL
Second weekend in October. The festival includes food, fun, and musical entertainment from noon Friday until Saturday night. Saturday’s events include a parade, car show, antique tractor show, and many contests. Held at Frank Anthony Park, 301 Church Street, Springhill, LA.

MAIN TO MAIN TRADE DAYS
First full weekend in November. Travel from Springhill Main Street to Minden Main Street to experience countless great treasures for sale, including antiques, “junktiques,” clothes, furniture, toys, and everything in between. WINTER

CHAMBER CHRISTMAS PARADE
Saturday after Thanksgiving. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus officially kick off the holiday season and usher in Christmas by making their way down historical Springhill Main. Hosted by Springhill-North Webster Chamber of Commerce. For more information, contact the Chamber at 318-539-4717.

CHRISTMAS ON MAIN
Saturday after Thanksgiving. This event coincides with the Chamber Christmas Parade and highlights all of our Main Street merchants. Don’t miss the great family activities and visits with Santa in the park immediately after parade. Hosted by Springhill Main Street. For more information, call 318-539-5681.

SAREPTA CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
First weekend in December. This festival features a silent auction, a car show, hidden treasure, a bicycle parade, pictures with Santa, arts and craft vendors, food vendors, live entertainment, and fireworks at dark. Located at the Sarepta Community Park Area.

GRAND BAL
January. The Grand Bal is an entertaining evening at the that highlights the Krewe’s Mardi Gras royalty as they delight the crowd with a theatre-type experience. Each Bal features live music and wonderful food. Mardi Gras Bals are scheduled for Krewe of Artemis and Krewe of Nemesis. Each Bal is a night of fun and fellowship.
